Coordinate building services from construction project phase with IFC entities and PredefinedType - no longer schematic only.
Starting point
- Schematic main distributions are not enough for detailed coordination.
- Without typed equipment and terminals, clashes and connections stay unclear.
Goal & benefit
- Carry relevant MEP objects as IFC entities with PredefinedType.
- Check across disciplines without assuming FM master data.
Process
- Replace or complement schematic reserves with typed IFC MEP objects.
- Set PredefinedType per object and check location/connections in the federated model.
- Carry Status where existing and new work are mixed.
Outcome
- Coordinatable detailed MEP model with checkable entities and types.
Deliverables
- MEP model with IfcProject, IfcSite, IfcBuilding, and IfcBuildingStorey
- Relevant IFC MEP entities (plant, terminals, fittings, etc.) with PredefinedType
- Status per Pset_*Common where existing-stock coordination is needed: NEW, EXISTING, DEMOLISH, TEMPORARY
