SIA 416 area verification from the space model - area class via Reference, use via LongName.
Starting point
- SIA 416 area verification (HNF, NNF, VF, FF, KF, and exterior areas) needs a traceable assignment per space.
- Manual lists or classification attributes outside the model are error-prone.
Goal & benefit
- Carry interior and exterior spaces with Reference (SIA 416 class) and LongName (room use).
- Keep area classes directly on the space instead of reconciling them via lists.
Process
- Provide interior and exterior spaces as volumes with LongName and Reference (SIA 416 code).
- Evaluate net areas per space from the model.
- Aggregate areas according to SIA 416 via Reference.
Outcome
- Traceable SIA 416 area verification from the model.

- Architecture model with IfcProject, IfcSite, IfcBuilding, and IfcBuildingStorey
- Interior spaces as IfcSpace (PredefinedType=INTERNAL) and exterior spaces as IfcSpace (PredefinedType=EXTERNAL)
