Visualize planning interfaces

DES-PLANNING-INTERFACE · General · Design

Carry planning responsibility per component in the model and colour it - forgotten parts at planning interfaces become visible.

Starting point

  • Errors happen at the interfaces between planning disciplines; components without a clear planning owner are easily lost.
  • Lists and organigrams make gaps at planning interfaces hard to see.

Goal & benefit

  • Assign every architecture and MEP component to a BKP planning package.
  • Coloured plans make missing assignments and overlaps at the interfaces visible.

Process

  1. Provide architecture and MEP components in the discipline model.
  2. Set PlanningInterface to the three-digit BKP code of the planning position.
  3. Derive visualization by planning package and check for gaps.

Outcome

  • Visible planning interfaces; missing or duplicate planning responsibilities are detectable before execution.

Deliverables

  • Architecture and MEP models with the modelled components
  • PlanningInterface (ePset_Cost) with three-digit BKP code, e.g. 091, 092, 094
