Automatically calculate eBKP-H classification for major positions
DES-EBKP-H · Switzerland · Design
Derive eBKP-H codes for major architecture and MEP positions from a few model properties - instead of classifying by hand.
Starting point
- eBKP-H assignment on walls, slabs, coverings, and MEP equipment is often maintained manually and drifts between model and cost plan.
- Element type, medium, interior/exterior, load-bearing, and below/above terrain already sit in component properties - but they are not used consistently for classification.
Goal & benefit
- Classify major positions uniformly according to SN 506 511.
- Use a few unambiguous inputs; calculate the eBKP-H code automatically.
Process
- Provide architecture and MEP components with IsExternal, LoadBearing, medium, and BelowTerrain.
- Derive EbkpH automatically (e.g. exterior wall →
C02.01, boiler →D05.02, air terminal →D07.05). - Check classified quantities and use them for cost calculation.
Outcome
- Traceable eBKP-H classification of major positions directly from the model.
Deliverables
- Architecture and MEP models with the modelled components
- IsExternal, LoadBearing (Pset_*Common), medium (Reference), and BelowTerrain (ePset_Cost)
- EbkpH (ePset_Cost) according to SN 506 511, e.g.
C02.01,D05.02,D07.05
