Area verification according to SIA D0165

SIA D0165 area verification from the space model - area class via Reference, use via LongName.

Starting point

• Detailed SIA D0165 area verification (e.g. HNF-1 … HNF-6, NNF-7, FF-8, VF-9, BUF-10) needs a traceable assignment per space.
• Manual lists or classification attributes outside the model are error-prone.

Goal & benefit

• Carry interior and exterior spaces with Reference (D0165 class) and LongName (room use).
• Keep area classes directly on the space instead of reconciling them via lists.

Process

1. Provide interior and exterior spaces as volumes with LongName and Reference (D0165 code).
2. Evaluate net areas per space from the model.
3. Aggregate areas according to D0165 via Reference.

Outcome

• Traceable SIA D0165 area verification from the model.

• Architecture model with IfcProject, IfcSite, IfcBuilding, and IfcBuildingStorey
• Interior spaces as IfcSpace (PredefinedType=INTERNAL) and exterior spaces as IfcSpace (PredefinedType=EXTERNAL)
