Develop the fire protection concept
DES-FIRE-CONCEPT · General · Design
Develop the fire protection concept and fire plan as the binding basis for permit and model values.
Starting point
- Protection goals, compartments, and fire-resistance classes often exist only in loosely aligned reports.
- Without a binding concept, plan and model lack a shared reading for permit and QA.
Goal & benefit
- Set protection goals, compartments, and required fire-resistance classes bindingly.
- Align the fire plan - escape routes and governing components - with the concept.
Process
- Provide the architecture model with spaces, envelope, and openings.
- Define the fire protection concept with goals, compartments, and fire-resistance classes.
- Derive the fire plan and align it with the concept and permit documents.
Outcome
- Binding fire protection concept and aligned fire plan as the basis for permit and fire QA.
Deliverables
- Fire protection concept and fire protection plan
- Architecture model with IfcProject, IfcSite, IfcBuilding, and IfcBuildingStorey
- Governing components IfcWall, IfcSlab (FLOOR), IfcWindow, IfcDoor, IfcColumn, and IfcBeam
- No additional fire attributes - values are checked by QA fire protection component values
