Drawing derivation from the 3D model
DES-DRAWINGS · General · Design
Derive drawings from the 3D model and read them as a completeness check against the IFC model.
Starting point
- Drawings and model often diverge; readability for coordination and execution is missing.
- Parallel 2D statuses without derivation from the model are error-prone.
Goal & benefit
- Derive floor plans, sections, elevations, and details directly from the model.
- Use the drawings as a completeness check against the IFC model.
Process
- Provide the architecture model with the current planning status.
- Derive floor plans, sections, elevations, and details from the model.
- Check readability and completeness against the model.
Outcome
- Coordinated floor plans, sections, elevations, and details as the geometric planning basis.
Deliverables
- Architecture model with IfcProject, IfcSite, IfcBuilding, and IfcBuildingStorey
- Floor plans, sections, elevations, and details
