Execute flooring works

Provide the modelled floor build-up with covering and subfloor for execution and quantity take-off.

Starting point

• Flooring works on site need clear build-up types, areas, and joints; space properties alone are not enough.
• Without a modelled floor build-up, finish, subfloor, and net area are missing as an execution- and billing-relevant basis.

Goal & benefit

• Model floor build-up by type and attribute it with Finish and SubfloorType.
• Use net areas and build-up types directly from the model for execution and quantity take-off.

Process

1. Provide floor build-up as a modelled layer by build-up type (do not split by rooms).
2. Capture Finish (floor covering type) and SubfloorType (subfloor) plus NetArea; model joints where needed.
3. Use the model for execution, filtering by build-up type, and quantity take-off.

Outcome

• Attributed, area-evaluable floor build-up for executing flooring works.

Deliverables

• Architecture model with floor build-up (IfcCovering, PredefinedType=FLOORING)
• Finish (Pset_CoveringCommon), SubfloorType (ePset_CoveringFlooring), and NetArea (Qto_CoveringBaseQuantities) per floor build-up
