FM - Delivery of 3D information

Agree with the operator which objects they actually manage - and hand over only those with the agreed master data in the 3D model.

Starting point

• A fixed MEP element pack rarely matches real FM asset management.
• Without agreement, handover includes too many or the wrong objects.

Goal & benefit

• Set handover scope together with FM / the operator.
• Deliver only agreed objects with agreed attributes (e.g. identification, warranty, documents).

Process

1. Define with FM / the operator the managed object kinds and mandatory attributes.
2. Carry those objects in the model and set master data per the agreement.
3. Check the handover and deliver it to the operator.

Outcome

• Project-specific 3D FM handover - without a generic mandatory MEP catalogue.

Deliverables

• Model with IfcProject, IfcSite, IfcBuilding, and IfcBuildingStorey
• Object kinds and attributes according to a written agreement with FM / the operator
• No fixed Elementplan MEP element pack for this use case
